Privacy Policy

Overview
Audiofin is an audiobook player for iPhone. It connects to a Jellyfin media server that you — or someone you trust — operate. There are no developer-run servers: the app is a client for your own infrastructure, and nothing else. This policy explains, plainly, what that means for your data.
Information the developer collects
None. Audiofin contains no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no developer-operated backend. The developer has no way to see who uses the app, which servers it connects to, or what anyone listens to.
Information you provide, and where it goes
To use Audiofin you enter your Jellyfin server address, username, and password. These are used for exactly one thing: signing in to the server you specify. The login token your server returns is stored securely in the iOS Keychain on your device. None of this information is ever sent to the developer.
Network communication
The app communicates only with the Jellyfin server address you enter — it makes no other network requests. Listening data such as playback positions and played status is stored on your device and synced with that server as part of normal Jellyfin operation (this is what lets other Jellyfin clients resume where you left off). How your server handles that data is governed by whoever operates the server.
Data stored on your device
Audiofin keeps a small amount of data locally so the app works well — including offline:
- Playback positions and played status for your books
- App settings (theme, playback speed, skip length, sleep schedule)
- Any audiobooks you download for offline listening
All of it lives on your device and is removed when you delete the app.
Third parties
Audiofin embeds no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. There are no data brokers, no ad networks, and no "partners".
Children’s privacy
Audiofin is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone, children included.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future feature works differently — the update will be published on this page and the "last updated" date above will change.
